PS4 No 4K HDR until later patch?

Yeah she is. Hopefully it's ready by the One X launch. Would have liked HDR for Early Access though.

That's absolutely ridiculous and is a big reason why exclusivity deals are a shame if true! This is without a doubt because Microsoft said "Well can you gimp the Pro until the One X releases - please and thank you."

Not surprised about this. We haven't seen any 4K footage of Madden yet, and you'd have to imagine that if it were ready then that's what they'd want the GameChangers and EA Play people playing, to best show off the game/graphics.

The game has been confirmed as a 4K upgrade w/ HDR for Xbox One X, and so I'd imagine they'll be releasing both of those together when the One X drops in the fall. A shame though because it'd be great to see how the game looks on PS4 Pro.

Hopefully he means a day 1 patch for when the game officially launches, if not.....idk what to say....

The worst part is when asked about this Ive seen multiple EA/Madden devs tweet responses confirming it would be supported, with the obvious impression being it would be available at launch. Never a single word uttered about after a post release patch update. People wonder why the animosity toward EA, this is exactly why, on top of delaying the base game release multiple days in an obvious effort to bait people into buying the GOAT edition who dont care about MUT, but will pay the extra money to get it early, shady EA, real shady.

Nobody is baiting anyone into buying anything. NBA 2K did this last year, and are doing it this year.

And nobody lied about 4K/HDR being supported.

Yes, it sucks it's not in at launch, and it should be. But to break out the pitchforks and torches on this is kinda going a bit overboard. It only effects one system right now, that most people don't even have.

And for all we know it could be in a day one patch.

I'm all for criticizing EA when it's deserved, but this stuff is not a huge deal imo.

I'm confused what does out the box mean exactly because games come with an opening day patch now if this is saying it won't be in the first patch then that's not cool but out the box could mean it's just not available until you download the opening day patch.
