As an Alabama fan with no NFL allegiances, I plan to primarily use the Redskins with DE Jonathan Allen and LB Ryan Anderson. I also intend to control the browns as they have that awesome setup of draft picks.

I could never play as my favorite team (Patriots), it's just not that fun to me. Usually, I do complete rebuilds of teams that need it (Browns, 49ers etc). This year I am gonna with the Lions, I love their new Color Rush uniforms and they have some good pieces in place.

First, to get the hang of things, I'll play as the Redskins. Then, I'll play as the two teams I like, Chiefs and Titans. Chiefs offensive line looks weaker than I expected, so I'll probably need a few drafts to bring it up to par. Plus, I'll get to usher in the Mahomes Era. The Titans will be fun to play with Mariota, Murray, Henry, and now Corey Davis at WR.

In your specific case, I'd say take control of ATL and get the Falcons some revenge.

I'll be doing hometown, but that's because I haven't done a proper hometown franchise in a few years. In the past I did Jags, Redskins, Bucs, and I started on a Texans one for 17 before realizing my team needed rebuilding more than almost every other team in the league ><

What I do is Fantasy Drafting. Takes a bit more time but I say it's worth doing if you want the balance of the league to be shifted around for a little bit (the better owners always seem to get their franchise back on track no matter what though it might take a few years, lesser owners can draft a great team but fall off after a season or two most of the time)

All teams are pretty close to each other in overall after the Fantasy Draft happens, and it's pretty cool if you want to have varied playoff brackets and the feeling of not knowing how the team you're facing is.
