Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

Not sure on this injury system they implemented with off the ball injuries.

I'm the Browns and playing against Steelers and I'm currently on defense trying to stop Big Ben, and I just got a notification of an injury to my Tight End. Like the injury just happened and it says:

S.DeValve - TE - Hip Pointer - Out for Game

But I wasn't even playing on offense. I also checked the replay to see if maybe he was playing on the defensive side somehow and he wasn't.

WTF lol. Do off the ball injuries happen OFF THE FIELD too??? What did he fall over a Gatorade jug on the sideline?

I find this complete b.s. that they tell customers to wait for a patch for offline cfm players like myself. And then not have a patch for offline user's like some have speculated that there would Be!

Does anyone know if they meant a patch on friday or saturday?

I can confirm that the Xbox One S retail version feels smoother than the EA Access version.

As always....sliders are my friend.

Making some nice progress already. Will give some more impressions later tonight.

I am going to focus on the positives of this game. Because I am having fun.....but it takes some overlooking to do so.

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

It's a little thing, but I hate how every left tackle does the same little dance during player introductions. It's a bit jarring and gets annoying. I think all players do the same thing, but that dance just stands out too much.

Just start your cfm. The dude that started the rumor in regards to a Day 0 patch isn't even an employee for EA. Unless you hear something specific from a developer, then I'd just dive right in and have fun with the game.

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

I haven't had any injuries in regular play now games. I get tons of them in "jump into the season" games or whatever they call it.

And yes, albeit a small sample size I went from completing 85% of my passes with Trevor Seimien to barely over 50% with Jameis Winston simply by raising the reaction and coverage sliders up to 52.

Was he on special teams?
