Target passing is fun. When you do it right. Threw a 61 yard bomb to Andre Holmes led him 5-10 yards further then he was. it was a thing of beauty.

Really like the game and it has lots of potential.
However if they don't fix the zones it will get shelved pretty quickly.

Until then I'm simply going to have to auto pass when on offense etc...
Always seems to be something every year with this game.

Try raising pass cover to 60..pen sliders for D holding and PI to 65 it helped pass D and seen alot more D backs making plays on the ball

I'm terrible at it. I feel like it's too much going on and I cant watch the defensive pressure, coverage, and the target passing all at the same time. Maybe I'll get better with practice but right now Idk how much I see myself using this

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

I played 2 cfm games and they played noticeably differently then the play now games I played earlier. Gameplay was different, a little better. Those of you using play now to test the game might want to try some cfm games.

Playing the Super Bowl rematch and won 17-14 as the Falcons on a last second field goal. The game looks good but the bad are annoying and if fixed this could be a really good game. Sacked Tom Brady 5 times 3 of those off of attempted screen passes.

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

They really improved the user movement on defense. You can actually play corner this year. Back pedal and flip your hips.

I played against the giants on all Madden and shut out ODell Beckham with Xavier Rhodes. I used by depth chart match up and covered him one on one the whole game (3 targets, 1pass deflection for me, 0 catches for him). It was cool because you can now hot route a safety to cover deep half over top of you, instead of having the safety play deep middle.

Once they fix the zones, it will be pretty good!

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

Only had time for 1 game last night. Vikings at the Steelers. The feel of the game is great . The way the players move , there seems to be more weight and fluidity this year. Running and passing feels pretty good too. Hit a few nice gains from Bradford to Thielen with Thielen making a few diving catches that looked pretty realistic. My defense was not good as I gave up 150 to Bell and Big Ben went 25-28 for over 300 yards. I am awaiting Josh and Armors sliders which are coming soon. There were only a few penalties and as many have stated the zones could use some work but I am confident those guys will fix these issues and get the game playing great. Overall I enjoyed the first game and am glad I purchased. I was playing all pro default with injuries at 10. Kicking field goals had a slightly different feel also. Cant wait to get back to the gridiron tonight.
