Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

I can't believe in the age that we are in that EA has not figured out someway to make teams run 2RB systems or even 3RB systems.

Every single team runs their best back like a workhorse. For the past decade, maybe 4-5 teams a year do that.

Things like this really bother me.

Doesn't it bother anyone that we still have the same stale, weak, half assed presentation going on for the past few years now? Is this ever going to be addressed?

To point one on RBBC I agree wholeheartedly. Fortunately I can work around that with creating the coach for that week and the formation subs will stick even after I retire the coach. But I agree.....it should be in the game and working properly with well tuned CPU AI.

To the second point. They greatly improved presentation on M17 and enhanced it a little more this year with references to games around the league. I do agree though that it can be better and hopefully it will continue to improve.

The fact the halftime update has not been touched since they rolled it out on M15 is ridiculous though. That really is such a wart. It could be so much more. Just so much more. Look at what NBA 2K and now NBA Live does with their halftime presentation. Madden is a half baked half time presentation compared to those titles.

Since EA is back in the NBA arena with Live 18 they should be sharing resources for future Madden presentation. Because just from a demo of live 18......the difference is stark.

So here is to hoping the two teams can work together in the presentation arena.

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

Simulation mode is supposed to make the players play to their ratings. That was probably the one single thing that I was most excited to have.

Nope. My punter still throws pinpoint accurate passes when I insert him as a QB. The AI's middle linebacker still patrols the the entire middle of the field with the cover skills of Deion Sanders.

This is a classic case where I feel like EA told us one thing but delivered another.

Tried coverage even to 100 and last test was with pi at 75.
Zones , deep especially, are whack. They give way to much space and then react too slow after pass.
Just irritated that supposedly they were but were tweaked after ea play.

but thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate it man.

Is this something we would have to do to every team, or is this part of a Roster DL?

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

I was really excited about the 3 modes this year as I thought that would eliminate these types of issues.
Hopefully EA tunes it rather quickly.. IF they tune it.

I like a lot about the game especially having new passing system.
I've seen new animations and the game looks GREAT.
Just a needed tune or 2 and I'd be very happy.
