Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

I buy this game every year hoping this will be the one that gets it right. Man was I wrong. I've played at least 25 complete games and I've had 4 hard freezes. A second half bug where the kickoff glitches and it ends up being a safety that's happened 3 times. And man the AI gameplay is horrid. In this last and final game Winston was 24 for 24 with 298 yards and 4 touchdowns before I had to turn it off. Even with the Bucs scheme as Zone run they had 24 passes and 7 runs even though they were up 31-7. The amount of big plays is just insane, the passing game is so nerfed. I've tried several slider sets from this forum including deleting the profile and picking advance. So much work to try and make this game playable and it's still not enough. I don't know how EA can not improve with the AI gameplay. Complete shame that this is the only NFL game that were able to play. I for one can not support this company any longer. I play strictly Offline Career and it really shows that 0 effort is put into this mode..

Sadly retiring my Madden profile for good.

If this is true - not doubting, then that's a bug. There's nothing that I can think of that could causes the accelerated clock to result in QB's being less mobile than they should by design.

Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

A positive cool thing that happened in week 4 of my Dolphins CFM.

I resigned Jarvis Landry before I played the game. During the game they flashed up an OSD of his new contract and then Gaudin proceeded to talk about it....it was great.

How that makes sense I don't know, nor do I have any actual data to back this up, purely anecdotal.

I'm seeing a difference in ACC clock at 13 and at 15.

At 13, the QB runs and evades a pass rush.
At 15, I see a lot of sacks and the statue thing.

Re: Madden NFL 18 Retail Impressions

Crazy that something like accelerated clock would even have anything to do with what's happening between the white lines. Have we ventured a guess as to why this is causing issues, other than turning it off seems to help? Have folks that switched accelerated clock off gone back and put it back on to see if the game does play significantly differently?
