Are auto subs working this year? I would absolutely love to have a true two-back system without having to manually sub the running backs in and out. I heard fatigue was working correctly which had me hopeful that auto-subs would also work well.

Re: Auto Subs
Yes they are and you don't have to touch them this year. Finally back up d linemen will actually sub in during drives so having that depth in cfm matters this year."If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good." - Deion Sanders #21

Re: Auto Subs
I don't think I clicked a special setting either , I just noticed it when I went to adjust them myself.
Just from playing, I can confirm that HBs sub automatically, using the chargers Oliver would come in for Gordon

Re: Auto Subs
From everything I have seen, the "best" back is always getting 25+ carriers, with the back up getting around 4. It seems to be worse if you have a different 3rd down RB as they main back recovers in that time and is back in on running downs.
Not sure if changing numbers actually works this year.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Re: Auto Subs
I think all that changed is default is now 60 out and 80 in (as opposed to 50 in the past) so now on default CPU teams should actually sub in their 2nd RB once in a while.
What I'm more concerned with, is if raising fatigue will result in dissapearing players again in the 4th quarter.Comment

I am testing fatigue and can say when I find the right sweet spot it works. But it is not progressive fatigue. They fully recover for the next drive.
As far as Auto Subs go....at default I am starting to see DE and LB's subbing out on long drives. I have not seen any disappearing players yet.
For RB's.....nope. I use the formation subs of my opponent (I create the coach I am going to face the week before I play them so I can do their game prep per JoshC1977) I then set up formation subs for the team and plug in their second back (some teams use three backs so i can control this) in some clear cut running formations. If they are more of a scat back/3rd down back I plug them into spread and shotgun formations. I base all my formation subs that I do for the CPU on their team personnel. The great thing is after you retire the coach after you play their game....the formation subs will stick (as well as the coaches scheme which I also modify if it needs to be corrected based on JoshC1977's chart).
So that workaround is easy and works fantastic and I don't have to chase any auto sub settings for RB's. Saves me a lot of time....and actually the game is far better because I will see the other RB's in the game and see a true workload distributed properly. Now Playing on PS5:

Thats pretty cool Sword. You know if that effects Sim Stats at all?
So you looking at like 5 min per team you face?
I won't mention that it still is pretty ridiculous that we have to do that in 2017...GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Sim stats look good too!
So yes. It works well. And I agree we should not have to do this at this stage! Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Auto Subs
You only do it for your opponents on your schedule!
So EG:
Week one I am playing the Bucs. In pre-season week four I create the coach for the Bucs (I use the real life coaches). I then go straight to his formation sub screen and set them up...takes me 5 minutes max..usually shorter than that.
Sim his game prep (set offense game prep to red zone offense set defense to red zone defense and then simulate it) that takes 20 seconds.
Done.
Advance to week one.
Play my game.
After the game retire the Bucs coach (takes 10 seconds)
Formation subs stick all season.
Injury will change that. But I am not playing them again unless I see them in the Super Bowl.
Just a tad of work to make the game sooooooo much better.
Thing is I play on average 2-3 full games a week once I get my CFM up and running (I also play the crap out of MLB The Show and this year NBA Live so I choose my sports games each night on which franchise I will play). I play 15 minute quarters and my games take an average of 70-80 minutes to play. I love the full game experience. Now Playing on PS5:
