How to play "Coach Mode" in 18

I noticed there is no formal "Coach Mode". However, I couldn't figure out the settings in which I would just call the plays and the CPU executes the action.


Please tell me this hasn't gone away. How do I set up?

There is a Coach Mode setting but it's not in CFM, it's in the Main Menu in the Settings.

Keep in mind though, while Coach Mode works on the offense, it does NOT work on the defensive side. Previously you were able to just highlight a player like a Safety or a LB or whoever and as long as you didn't touch the controller, the player would play his position.

This year this is no longer the case, if you're move the cursor (or highlight) a LB or a DB he won't move when the ball is snapped. You'll have to manually control him.

The only workaround for this is to:

- Switch to CPU v CPU while playing the Defense

OR

- Take control of one of the Defensive Lineman. Because they immediately interact with one of the Offensive Lineman, they will automatically start going after the QB, BUT they won't do any Finesse or Power moves. You'll have to control them for that.

Sucks i know, but we're thinking it may be a bug considering it wasn't like this last year, or the year before, etc.

I find it perplexing that there is not a true coach mode in the game. There are a lot of complex things in the game, but this isn't one of them.
