It makes no sense. Does fatigue and different playcalling come into play? Sure. It might be a better place to start to improve your play.

Is your OL fatigued, letting defenders get closer to to the QB? Are you calling the same defense as when the game was close?

I've never seen a single shred of evidence that there is comeback codes in sports games.

THESE devs would not, but the previous regime might have and it could remain in the code as a legacy.

All I know is every time I play the Rams as the 49ers in the first divisional matchup there are blocked kicks. This happened in Madden 17 too. Coincidence?

Anecdotally, what I have noticed over the years is it is hard to go up on the cpu by a third score but once you do the flood flood gates open.

CPU cheese kills this game for me, and this is part of it. no matter what plays are called they can score or stop you if they need to, to make the game close or outright beat you. but it could be because the defense is so badly implanted that it hinders any real life football replication.

Where I really notice it it's on third and short when i run the ball. There will be a hole and I need one step for the first down and a defsnded will shed the block take two steps and put a dead stop hit on me bringing up fourth and inches, happens on the goal line also.

Years ago there was a prompt in game setup to "keep games close" that you could turn off or on. Not sure if it was ea or the other. The prompt has been removed, but could the code still be in the game?

Retention rates increase the closer to .500 a user is. The meeting was a review of a telemetry study.

I believe the point was to convince us to add it to other difficulties, but we never did. Stick with all-pro, you wont see it.
