Problem in CFM with high-scoring games

I have a problem with high scoring games in cloud-CFM (started 2 CFM's with Bears and Browns)

Every game me and the CPU scores easy over 30 points and more. Even against the Jets (They signed QB Griffin III from FreeAgency) the offense destroyed my defense and i lost. Griffin III had over 70% pass completion! The Jets scored 38 points against me.That was the point i stopped playing Madden 18...

I play All-Pro, 9 minutes quarters and simulation-style, no acclerated clock.

I played around with sliders, lowered the CPU QB Accuracy to 20, and increased some human defense sliders to 60, but it doesen't really help, every QB is like Tom Brady and Dan Marino and defense seems to be out of order, especialy on third downs)...

That's no fun at all. Sure many touchdowns are exciting for arcade players, but i want it more realistic. Any suggestions?

What scheme are you using and what plays do you often pick?

Re: Problem in CFM with high-scoring games

Try increasing user pass reaction and pass coverage to 80 and tackling to 60. We did that in our CFM and it's made a huge difference in the number of big plays the computer was getting.

80 might be a little rich. I'm thinking of turning it down just a bit - but YMMV

Re: Problem in CFM with high-scoring games

The high completion percentage is my biggest gripe... especially since "simulation mode" was supposed to make the players play to their ratings. I'm going to go home and search in vain for a slider setting that will work.

I suspect EA is rolling on the floor laughing with that one.

Same problem here, every game turns into an offensive shootout regardless of opponent.

Played last night as the Falcons vs the Jets.

Josh McCLOWN: 31/31 397 yards 4 TD's

Really Madden? The game prior, I had 2 INT vs the Dolphins and before that game I had 6 INT, yes 6 INT, vs Tyrod - then McCown has one of the greatest games of all time?

It's almost as All Madden purposely rigs some games..

Fun note to add: At one point in my CFM...

Broncos were 0-7

Jets were 5-2

NO major injuries on either team (I checked the player's game logs to see too)

Gotta love CFM

I'm just hoping things get better after the patch later this month.

And don't even get me started on the hurricane force winds ruining special teams in CFM.

Re: Problem in CFM with high-scoring games

The issue is you're taking a roster rated for Play Now/H2H into CFM.
Meaning the roster is not in line with generated players which come in with much lower positional ratings than most downloaded front ended rosters.

99% of the passing ease is do to very high CIT/SPC/RTE ratings across the board.
Then add on top most QB THP are 90+.
- simply reducing these to 70 & 80 max, really calms down high comp%.

Lastly, 90+ is Elite level rating but too many players possess ratings in the 80's range which doesn't create a big enough Delta contrast to rally make players stand out.
