Do formation subs in Franchise work this year? (32-team control)

I ask because I remember they wouldn't save a lot of the time and would only remain changed during your play session.

If they work properly, can I go into all-32 teams and they remain changed the entire year?

They don't work. Sorry. I think it has to do with putting players outside their natural position, but for me it doesn't work.

But I control each team separately, go into their Formation Subs and change their RB's for the two-back teams so both get carries and it works for me. They both get roughly and equal amount of carries.

Works for me too and worked last year.

Only in game.

If you control all 32-teams, just change starting HB from depth chart a few games a year. As it is, when you straight sim games the stats are VERY GOOD.
If you take the time to lower QB Carry and DL Pursuit, the stats are 95% accurate.

Lower the Qb carrying rating? What does doing this do for the game in your observations?
I'm assuming DL pursuit improves the simulation Ypc?
