Custom Playbooks

Can I assign a custom playbook to other teams in CFM, via 32-man control, and have the cpu use the custom playbook in cpu vs cpu games? In NCAA 14, the custom playbooks didn't stick and cpu teams used default playbooks as well.

Thinking about swimming 10 years into the future and changing up gameplans. Have undercenter offenses become a trend. Smash mouth football.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Custom Playbooks

I have not had success in controlling 2 teams and having BOTH use a custom pb. I have not tried where I use a stock book and the CPU uses a custom pb. When I assign a custom pb to BOTH user teams, the other team is invisible and then it freezes.

Hate to here that. Guess a second controller is the only fix. Do these custom playbooks misbehave, like NCAA 14, when you don't install the same amount of plays that the default playbook contained and if you didn't, it caused bipolar play calling. Sometimes it could be entertaining in NCAA, where the AI coach seems more random, but doesn't go by run/pass ratios in coaches bio. Kind of made the coach a loose cannon if you kept run/pass at 50/50.

Re: Custom Playbooks

The custom books work great so long as you use the correct process. Vannwolfhawk has a thread where he lists the ones he's done. Kudos to him for the efforts. Steps:

Use a 2nd profile to create a player on the opposing team. Can be created or real life player(I use real life) as long as he's the 3rd string qb.

Option 2. Forget custom playbooks. Steps:

1.create character to be the opposing coach in NEXT WEEK'S GAME.
2. Advance weeks
3. Set user and CPU gameplanning to red Zone for off and Def. Sim/complete training.
4. Retire character/play game
5. Play game/retire character.

Steps 4&5 are interchangeable. See the slider forum and check JoshCs thread. This also works very well and should allow for your 32 Team Control. Each week, you'd just have to go to next week's opponent and set training to manual prior to advancing and then back to auto after you do the training.

Re: Custom Playbooks

Option 1 makes you a player. You can select your pb pregame, but you can't affect training.

Option 2 makes you a coach. This allows you to change the weekly training. For some reason, this completely changes CPU playcalling. This method uses a stock pb for the CPU team.
