It does work. I think it scouts every player in the first 3 rounds and then every draftable (projected 1-7 rounder) at the top 3 positions of need.

Re: Does CPU use scouting?

I don't think the CPU actually scouts, I was always under the impression that the CPU somewhat knows the OVR of the players and takes them based on need/top OVR, which led to the problem of the CPU redrafting the same position over and over, though they won't draft a guy way ahead of his projection.

Some of it has been fixed/tweak but I don't think there is much variation like there would be in a 32-user CFM. When you auto scouting it scouts the same style every time.

If anything the CPU acts like the players years ago who knew the studs of the draft but tried to hold off long enough to not make the other league members suspicious.

Can't change that with current scouting/draft logic.
In 32-user CFM the projection is useless. If a player is projected in the 6th round, but is a top10 talent, he will be drafted in the first round regardless of projection.

Projection and scouted skills have to be different for each team, then you can get some variation. Otherwise everybody knows a player is good, or the player is not good

So many options to make it better, but the current system is just too easy to reflect any kind of variation.
