Counter glitch

Just wondering when this will finally be address. My User LB will always bite on the false step of the counter to get him in poor position. I could know that the play is coming from it being used earlier in the game but my LB's first step will ignore what I do and bite on the false step.

It's been like this since the 360/ps3 days. Can we reward a good user read and not have the AI gift a cheeser?
