Formation sub problem, Can anyone help.

I have no problem using formation subs as long as I am using stock game plans, and it works rather well. Basically I like simply like to sub my RB's and other players in certain plays and formations.

I have three good RB's and like to use them alternating quite often and like different receivers in different situations. Using Auto sub sliders just doesn't get the job done.

I have just started building my own game plans and DL a few I like from sharing. But I can't find away to use the formation subs with them. When I go to Coaches, and schemes. All the regular Play books are there. None of my custom ones are there. I can use any of the custom Game plans in the game, but the only way I can load it is from within the game before starting it.

As far as I know, I can't use formation subs unless I can load it from the Coaches Schemes. I can't find away to do that. So I see no point wasting time creating custom game plans if i can't put players where I want them in a certain play.

Am I missing something, Is there a way to do this that I am not aware of. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, formation subs don't work with custom playbooks. The best you can do, and what I do, is find a team playbook that has your most important formations (or the formations you want use subs in) and choose that as your coach's scheme playbook.

That’s the way to do it. It helps you change out most of your formations so you don’t have to do but a few every game.

It's unfortunate that formation subs still don't work properly. I just use the sub option in the play call window to rotate running backs. If I want to use a different rb for a series or two, I change my depth chart.

Thanks everyone. It don't make a lot of sense to have or be able to make or use custom game plans and not be able to load them in your Coaches schemes. Nor does it make sense that you can't use formation subs with them. You would think that it would be easy to give us that option. But it is what it is..

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. And that's what I do when playing, But I play a lot of POTM and CPU vs CPU. There are a lot of plays that I like that aren't in any specific game plan. So when playing CPU.vs CPU or POTM, I don't get the rotation that I want and the CPU calls the same plays over and over. If you edit even one simple play, It is now custom and you loose the Formation Subs.

Maybe someday they will fix it. I remember the days when you could actually build and edit your own play and add who ever you wanted to play in it.
