I highly recommend creating your own. After deleting all the redundant 4verts, play actions, screens, and run plays and adding the types of plays that you're good at and enjoy running, it's a very enjoyable experience. It also really adds to the draft and free agency because you're now building with a system in mind.

Still trying to determine which offensive one I will settle on. I was using the Packers back in M15 and earlier Maddens. But some plays were removed which were staples for me. But overall I like 1-back shotgun zone/power runs and lots of 3WR/1TE sets.

If you're going the custom book route, just be careful not to add too much at once and overwhelm yourself. I went nuts creating a book for my first season of CFM and added so much stuff to my book that it was just too cluttered. I was all over the place with my playcalling and had the worst offense in the league. I'd pick a book, get rid of the stuff you won't run and when you get familiar with it start adding plays, but not more than 5-10 at a time.

Re: Offensive Playbooks-Which do you use?

I try to stick with the team default playbooks in year one for the most part. However, certain playbooks like Miami and the NYG playbooks have way too much spread in them, I will stay away from them....period.

I really try to fit the playbook though to my personnel and not to what I want to run. If I change my personnel I will then change my playbook. If I have a significant injury or two, I might then go with another similar playbook which might emphasize players I have remaining who are unhurt to compensate.

49ers. Last year, Falcons. Shannahan uses the most 12 and 21 packages, which is my preferred style.

Now, this is if I am the coach. If I'm owner, I keep the coach's playbook.

LOL I tried to stick with the Bengals default playbook and couldn't do it. I am not a passer. I went with Baltimore for the power running.

Re: Offensive Playbooks-Which do you use?

If I use a custom playbook where do I set it as my playbook? I play as the jets and as a 3-4 d so I know it’s tied to the offensive playbook so i want to make sure it shows my starting lineup correctly. My plan was to use the Ravens playbook as my base
