Convert a CB

Yeah you can just go onto the player's Player Card and go down to Edit Player and change their position to whatever you want.

If you wanna know what attributes work for each position, look at this link. It's from Madden 17 but it's 95% the same in 18.

Yeah thanks the second part of your response is what I was looking for, just seeing if it would work based on the attributes.

I haven't done it in '18 yet but I did it a lot in '17 and it worked. I found a gem at CB in a late round who was great overall but he was just slow, so I moved him to FS and he was pretty good.

Highly recommend getting their tackling + pursuit up to 75+.

At least OVR rating wise, a lot of times CBs make better safeties than actual safeties. Especially since most of the time they are a bit faster.

I would say you would ideally want to do it with corners that have decent tackling/pursuit stats. Also corners that have higher zone ratings than man, of course high in everything is ideal but I would think those are the 3 most important stats (maybe hit power as well).

I converted Shaq Griffin from CB to FS in my first year of CFM. Started as a 75 FS and did phenomenal. I highly recommend it.

I'd play around with positions if I were you. I also had Jabrill Peppers at SS and he was horrendous, his coverage is terrible. I moved him up to an ROLB in a 3-4 defense and he is pretty unstoppable.

Other things you can do and that I have done is looking for WR's with good BC Vision and Carrying to convert them to RB, or converting a WR to a QB. Braxton Miller converts to a 69 overall QB which can easily be developed to a high 70's in a year. Then you have a decent QB with 94 acceleration and 91 speed.

For SS, I focus on pursuit, zone coverage, agility, acceleration, tackle, speed in that order.

Someone like Deshawn Shead is a good CB to convert SS to.
