Does anyone know if I create a new profile will it screw up my online franchise in any way? I didnt know if the two were tied together in anyway? I assumed it would be fine that online franchises are really only tied to your PSN name but wanted to check.

Can't you can answer your on question by making backup save of the franchise using a different saved name? If you're worried about an online franchise do a test on an offline one.

From my experience, when I've had to trash a profile because it seemed corrupted, it was a pain in the keister because all the customization I'd made was lost. But those setting could be redone, and the only loss was my precious, finite time.
