Re: Rex on Franchise Mode (10/26)

I just dont think they care at all about Franchise or CFM.

Once they moved to an XP based system, which really hurts the game, it really hurt Franchise/CFM.

The first big patch gave 4 brand new additions to MUT, but nothing, absolutely nothing for Franchise mode.

There not even giving us a bone here, just give us the ability to choose custom playbooks for the AI maybe? Or, I dunno, anything at this point on the MANY lists of improvements for CFM.

In cases like this where it is a project rather than a new division, you have to scavenge from within your current asset pool. It's just the way companies have to operate and part of being a business before anything.

When they are done you then have to decide where they are going to sit full time or if your going to lay them off. From a business standpoint it simply makes more sense to use current assets to do the projects.
What does Frostbite have to do with CFM? How does CFM experience translate into knowledge of Frostbite?

I would bye into the point if it was the gameplay/presentation team with no gameplay/presentation improvements for the year. Isn't Frostbite more of a game animation/presentation engine?

Re: Rex on Franchise Mode (10/26)

Even trying to be optimistic about Madden's franchise mode is extremely difficult for me because the only argument for franchise mode is to defend what they have done/ are doing. There is not even a lick of non-verbal evidence that supports the future of franchise.

I can't think of anything that they have done for franchise mode this year, and it leaves a bad taste with CFM fans when EA releases new features and updates for MUT, yet Franchise mode still gets ignored despite hearing about the ability to add new features to CFM much easier this off season...

The Franchise change log for Madden NFL 18 includes the new Play Now Live feature, the new Draft Board feature, draft logic changes, Franchise commentary additions, trade logic tuning, free agency logic tuning, player retirement logic tuning, preseason substitution logic and roster cutdown workflow changes, and player progression / regression tuning.

It's not about having to do with CFM so much as someone having to apply resources to migrate it. CFM drew the short straw on helping migrate the game over.

"Drew the short straw" or CFM is not any kind of priority? Wouldn't it make more sense to draw from the gameplay/presentation team since that is what Frostbite effects? Since you were the one that mentioned saving on the learning curve (being more efficient).

*Tuning

Play Now Live and Draft boards (which only affect online and has no system to it) are the only new addition.

MUT has had more features added since September than CFM has had since August of 2016, just proving the point of their efforts.
