He was a bitch to face in whichever release had that AI. The CPU QB play-calling is really lacking. And it has been lacking since M15. I definitely remember releases before M15 that had better CPU QB play-calling.
I know; it is like they intentionally broke the CPU QB AI, and have forgotten how to fix it.

IIRC that was the last madden which had a pretty good Man defensive coverage and 2 Man Under used to be my base play. Madden 13 was one of the best and most fun Maddens I've played as versions after that (on PS4) have looked and felt very similar.
Haha. I hated that. I remember losing games because of that. And the audibles were realistic and tough to combat.

I really want to like this game but in our franchise Allpro SIM, 7min, no slider adjustments. Cpu qb chase daniels a backup, rated 73 goes 20/24 269 2td no picks, qbr 141.1 I thought back ups were not going to be so good this year. Yeah i know i can adjust sliders but they said this wasn't gonna happen this year especially on the so called sim mode. Happened to my son so im glad he lost the game. Lol... But this is terrible. So much for ratings.

May sound crazy but try playing on All-Pro default competitive mode, all-madden is great as well on competitive mode...QB ai is realistic, qb's are scrambling amd moving around in the pocket the way we expect and coverage is also tighter, I think EA mixed up the game style modes this year and we've been discussing it in the Flazko slider thread, report back here and let me know what ypu think. It seems that ratings really matter on competitive mode, star defensive players actually put fear in your heart when you go up against them lol.

I don't know if anything has changed, but I've definitely noticed more QB scrambling lately. In my 3rd season with no edits to the QBs prior to starting my Cloud CFM or during my CFM. The balanced and scrambler QBs will scramble often. Just played Dak Prescott and he had about 30 yards rushing on scrambles and also threw the ball away a number of times. QBs with the proper traits are utilizing them like they should be.

I'm wondering if those noticing statue QBs are playing on the DLine? I never user the DLine. I'm usually usering a MLB or Safety.

Been playing All-Pro simulation. I've adjusted the sliders a bit from default, but I don't think those would have an impact on statue QB anyway.

Again, the only time these QBs really struggle and stay in the pocket is when they go play-action (usually from under center) any have limited receivers running routes. It comes down to a CPU play-calling issue imo.

The change could of been implemented in cloud franchises. This is a good way for them to test before they are ready to release the patch for offline.

Still? How much of this is user play. I ask because I’m seeing varying results based on users in my league

This is consistent with what I’ve seen recently too. I’ve seen bootlegs turn into embarrassing plays for my defense. I’ve even seen Brady scramble to the LOs and curl up into the fetal position
