I think it's because out of the box, The Show and 2K don't have anything that would warrant a slap on the wrist. EA got in trouble with NCAA because they were using player likenesses minus their real names.

Lol I’m so done with Madden. I’m glad EA finally listened to their consumers in regards to Battlefront 2, but it literally took the most downvoted Reddit post in history to force their hand. Come on EA. I think they have a shot at regaining the ‘worst company in America’ crown this year.

The NFL is the reason Madden can't allow jersey editing.

Customizing/ creating stadiums, draft classes, or anything else.... Unless the NFL put restrictions for these without publicly addressing it like the uniforms, this falls back on EA choosing not to do it.

So despite what people assume on here, no one from EA has ever publicly came out and stated that they don't allow customization because of lawsuits.

It’s time for 2k or whoever to just make a generic customizable football game. I don’t care if it doesn’t have the NFL logos or players. I just want to play real football again. Thanks for the provided feedback.

EA got sued because they were already creating players off of their likeness. What you said would imply 2K would get sued because theyre offering a plaform that allows user to create ex-NBA players, NCAA players, even NCAA uniforms, which they actually arent getting sued for.

EA got sued because of the out of the box player likeness they themselves created not because they allowed the consumer to do so.

Not really, if they had not used legendary players, offered more customization and had a decent career mode it might have competed better with Madden i think.
