Players being dropped by cpu preseason

Hey guys need some help. Im in like year 3 of franchise with 5 friends. I have all the autofill settings off and all of signing on manual. In preseason when i simulate it continues to drop my worst players. I thought I could sim to week 4 and then cut them at week 4 since thats when cutting happens? Any help

I think cuts can happen each week based on how many players you have on your roster.
