CPU and the run game

So I posted something about this before but I’m still running into the cpu running the ball 80% of the game..just got done playing the redskins and cousins only threw the ball 11 times.


Does anyone have any suggestions other than having a second controller and changing their playbooks? And yes I do the scheme trick of changing the offense to balanced

For me, All-Madden difficulty fixed a lot of this issue. Even a Nate Sudfeld led Dolphins team I played against in my CFM threw it upwards of 20 times against me.

I don't see this issue , Or at least nowhere near as badly the CPU dies opt to run slightly more than real life numbers would suggest but not egregiously

Interesting to see your settings as I feel this may be the problem .. for example is your CPU run block set high etc ? Custom or base play books etc?

I been trying out different sliders but for the most part the cpu run blocking is at 40-45 and pass block at 40

I find it random to be honest. I can play the same game over and over 100+ times and the CPU will not run their offense the same way in each game. It is like the CPU's game-plan is pre-determined rather than based on playbook, coaching, scheme, and player traits.

Sometimes a team will run the ball non-stop with a ratio of 2:1 running. Other times it is fairly balanced. Sometimes the CPU comes out throwing constantly. And then the throwing can change. Sometimes the CPU will push it deep more often and other times they will look to check down a lot in the game. Despite having the same playbook, scheme, and player traits by playing the same game over and over.

Overall this is disappointing to me, because I'd rather the CPU stick to their scheme, subs, playbook, etc,. It would be neat to see the CPU more dynamic and intelligent. Making proper in-game coaching adjustments. In-game scheme/play-calling adjustments. And sticking to their overall team identity.

Doing things like making the RBK higher than PBK does seem to make the CPU more inclined to run.

What is your RB autosub set to? What about the user pass reaction slider?

These too can be critical.
