Live franchise starting point after SB?

I'm curious if you jump into a live franchise after the superbowl if your franchise will begin back at the start of the season or if it will start in the off-season for the 2019 season?

Only downside I see to starting the season late is that the scouting points used during the season is used to to only scout the top 3 rounds, which really hurts your chances of finding gems in the later rounds and you're really limited on scouting points after the season

It would be awesome to start at the offseason and actually build the team you're going to play the season with.

I've done this with a handful of my offline franchises. Somewhat frustrating to set it up, but it's worth the effort.
