How to play Coach Mode?

How exactly do you play coach mode? I havent had a madden game in a few years and decided to get this one but cant find a way to just call the plays and watch the comp do it. It appears RB's and defensive players do their own thing but the qb is just standing there waiting to get sacked. Any help would be appreciated!

In the Main Menu Game Settings there's an option to turn Coach Mode on. Once that's on, just call the plays and don't touch any buttons or anything on your gamepad, and the players will play themselves.

Will it then work in cfm as well?

Yup. I was playing coach mode this way.

So does the game use my human sliders for my team or does it use the sliders I have set for the cpu?

In Coach Mode it's Human Sliders.

Can two users play coach mode against each other in cfm?

I'm imagining both players would have to have auto throw/coach mode selected in their settings that are linked to their profiles?

And then, can you sim in slow at all during this? I'd like to be able to go back and forth between simming for a bit and coach mode for a bit.

I'm also wondering what sliders would be in effect w/ two human users in cfm... b/c one user in the cfm doesn't have a franchise - they're just logged into the xbox so they can play with the second controller.

Anyone able to set that up?

Well, I was able to make this work - you can even start a game using the 'play the moments' and slow super sim modes.

However, if you leave the ptm or sim modes they are then locked and you can't go back to any of the sim modes and have to play every snap.

I don't know why EA would lock out the sim modes... seems silly to me they'd make that decision. If it's a blowout and two people playing head-to-head want to just let the game run its course without them, or they want to just go back to play the moments mode - why would you not let them? Man, EA makes some real headscratcher decisions. Stop deciding how we play!!!
