I've heard from a reliable source(Steven A lol) that there are millions upon millions of legacy code in Madden.

It would have to be a side project that would take years, but agree that legacy coding in the game should be removed.
It take less if they worked from the time after the Superbowl.

Yet multiple times over the past years they have claimed they rebuilt something from the ground up. Franchise, blocking, reactions, etc.

Madden needs to come out on a yearly basis, not over several years like Starcraft.

Huge difference.

That's why said they need to be working basically all the time to make it work like that and make better game.

Huge difference of work when you port Madden 17 to frostbite and called Madden 18. Huge difference when you remake the game from scratch and use frostbite and call it Madden 18/19.

But I know what you mean.

I think AJ confirmed (correct me if I am wrong) that CFM is new from the ground up. I am sure there are legacy game play coding in the game from years gone by.

And that means they would need to hire a bunch of new people and add more salaries and time ripping up the entire code,(which will take a long time and more $) and putting in new code.

I'm all for getting rid of the legacy coding, but Madden hasn't shown any inkling that they are moving in that direction.

That would be great if they took all the resources and did all that, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

I know that. But that direction could help many other devs not just EA.
