Legacy issues

Which Madden this generation has the least legacy issues and the cleanest and most realistic animations? The stumbling, tumbling, bumping into each other are really ruining 18 for me. They seem worse than ever before.

Madden before the infinity engine so Madden 12 would probably be your best bet. Or go back to ps2.

Re: Legacy issues

Every version has issues.

Unstoppable plays, bad/horrible sim stats, not tracking stats properly, bad AI, bad off-season AI....

Barrell --> add fish ---> start shooting

I liked 2004, its the version I logged the most time on. Balanced gameplay, slightly overpowering on offense.. but the least issues overall, IMO.

Problem is, if you've played the newer versions, gameplay in that gen is archaic.

.. If you have a PC, the mods for '08 is pretty awesome. There isn't anything that you can't customize, if you're willing to invest the time.

Isn't 2004 where you could take Vick and beat everybody with ease? Seems ever since then really that a running QB was super OP, but at least then you could turn on Vision Cone to make it harder to throw. Still love that feature.

I would go with Madden 08 PC as I put more hours into it than others (except '98 on PSX). With the tools you get a pretty good sim for draft and stats.
