Would be interesting for Xbox because there are a number of games recently, Sea of Thieves for example, which are playable on both Xbox and PC.

SGO has an article claiming the same thing, in the past this was always screwed up because some site would list it accidentally as PC along with PS4 and XBOX, this looks like official EA announcement. God I hope so, the modding, please be true

That's a whole different thing though, there are no Play Anywhere EA games (which is Microsoft-specific).

Would be great if your digital console purchases translated into Origin titles also, but not getting my hopes up, this is usually some template / copywriting mixup year after year.

I see a lot of people just parroting this image for the views / likes / subs, no real sourcing going on.

So basically even if it is true then you won't believe it? Pretty sure PC is almost 100% digital now.

This happens every year. It's usually just some error by a retailer. Just ask one of the devs on twitter. I think they've cleared it up in the past.

Thats because Microsoft is now making both the Xbox and PC platforms as one, In other words, games that go to Xbox will also go to PC. One other thing, if you buy the xbox version, you get the PC version free of charge. This new idea from MS is just now starting to be available for current games but in the future..you will see 99% of all xbox games, also in PC as well.

This is why i didn't buy the new more-powerful Xbox One X console...because if you already have a gaming PC..that is essentially an Xbox One X. The best combo right now to have is either a gaming PC or XBox One X along with a PS4. Its foolish to buy a Xbox One X if you already own a decent gaming PC.

Back to topic: I will not be surprised to see Madden on PC in the near future. PC gaming is VERY popular now days, unlike the early 2000's... PC gaming is a lot more popular these days, Steam is the reason imho...it made PC gaming a lot easier, well, that and Microsoft Windows 10 Platform...not everyone likes Windows 10 but imho..its a very gamer-friendly OS and very efficient unlike MS older OS's for PC games of the early 2000s.

PC revenue at a glance is relatively stagnant, it's mobile (smartphone) gaming revenues that are steadily increasing.

Also Play Anywhere is for all Microsoft 1st party and just a handful of third party releases. 99% of titles in the future likely won't happen, unless you count Origin, Ubi, etc platforms. There's not a lot of public interest in taking a similar path that EA's taken with Access, let alone giving away free copies across platforms.

Hopefully it's all successful enough to inspire others to copy / innovate on the concept, as Sony's already abandoned the approach once.

Now that someone's actually bothered to look into the source of the PC rumors / images, it's on the EA Play website. We'll see if that gets cleaned up anytime soon and that'll probably shut the door on the annual 'Madden is on PC' hysteria. https://www.dsogaming.com/news/madde...-play-website/
