Re: Mike Young New Creative Director for Madden

I thought Brian Murphy was the NFL Films guy that changed camera angle presentation starting in NFL 15. That game, for me, was the first generation of 2nd gen Madden, and I think many great visuals remain core to the game in that area.

Mike Young is not the "new" creative director. He's been creative director since Ian left.

Of course they should continue to focus on upgrading Franchise.

Imagine drafting players in Franchise and you being the coach, for example, and the new draft picks walk into your office to meet you after signing with your team. Virtual people you can actually interact with. You have the opportunity to make some adjustments to their training camp scheduling as you mold them to better fit your scheme. Get some feedback from the player with dialog based on their initial archetype and college experience. And much more.

Basically bringing the football experience of running a franchise alive; putting you into the world.

I don't give two poops about this GaaS sit in a virtual stadium to watch someone else's game and then magically be in the NBA too nonsense.

I just want good presentation and a deep franchise mode. That's all.

When you consider the actual amount of "progress" made in the last 12 ( pick your number really) and the state of the game now ... maybe some people here are taking a ( virtual ) flight of fancy ?

FIFA does this. It's somewhat limited in terms of the text based dialogue you see, but it would be cool to have. Especially if you're doing a CFM as an owner or coach. Or even as a player, seeing you walk into different offices to negotiate your free agency.

True, true true. To "magically" go from the NFL to be in the NBA. That truly is nonsense. Just as much nonsense as being a coach or player in a virtual football game. But many people love to play that nonsense.

Seriously, I agree that good presentation and a deep franchise mode is important. But what do those two features mean to you? How would you achieve good presentation and a deep franchise mode? Do you think it would increase revenue, if so how?
