This. I donít give a **** how it looks. I care that I have to sim punts and kickoffs in windy games.

I got so tired of Robo QB in Madden 17 I refused to buy 18....it will be infuriating if it still makes it's way into Madden19! Nothing worse than keeping a below par rookie QB to 75yards through 3 quarters only for him to end up with 350yards by the end of the game.

Damnmit...this is a really big issue actually, enough to be a hindrance for me and skip this year as well.

I actually thought that last drive was pretty good. You cannot blame the game for the user play calls and only going zone. My only gripe is that the play clock was nearly zero and Seattle did not call one timeout. I do not think I have ever seen a drive that went the full length of the field with as many plays that it took and there not be one timeout called when there were 3 at their disposal.

By about play 10 there is usually some confusion with no huddle plus the guys are exhausted. The time in between plays should get a little longer after each play to account for exhaustion and the extra communication required to relay the play to each player.

Watched a lot of gameplay videos, as have many of you. This appears to be one of the better ones. I believe this is All Madden difficulty level.

Trying to get a feel for CPU playcalling, but near impossible due to 3 minute quarters. Still seeing "insta-sheds". Tackle animations, while not quite suction, not always representative of a more natural (physics based) outcome. Some of the tackles look overdone and arcade-like to me.

Man coverage was much better, although will be tuned back before launch. Careful calling cover 3 buzz defenses, as seam routes are wide open. Seam routes are a good way to attack this defense in real life, to be fair, but defender appeared unaware of receiver and did not attempt to carry at least initial coverage properly.

Player models just look awful and not just shoulder pads. Hopefully this is addressed. Too early to judge but expected better at this stage with frostbite engine in 2nd year.

I wasnít specifically referring to the ďlookĒ of the direction but rather, the high winds that happen in game. Sorry for the confusion of my earlier question/post.

Like someone else said, the special team scenarios are awful. I know we can sim the play but I prefer to actually play every down I can. Itís just borderline game breaking for me personally.

Edit: Heck, Iíd be happy if they just decreased the wind to 1-3 mph. I just want some close balance. I donít like smashing the field goal record with any kicker I want.

I can understand your frustration to a point but I think it's misguided. If you put your current weather arrow in front of 100 people, I bet 90 of them would say the red arrow is pointing the way the wind is blowing to, not from. The small minority think it is the opposite. As others have stated, a wind sock or other simple measure would eliminate the confusion.

At the beginning of the game there is no context in regard to the wind so I just hit a random button and just deal with it. That was just poor programming.

At the end of a day it's just a video game.

They should just go with something simple that shows the stadium from an aerial view with the North always facing up so that players can see which way each end zone is, then have an arrow to the side that shows which way wind is blowing and at what speeds. Then when you are selecting defend it also highlights that end zone for you to further avoid confusion.



I spent 5 minutes making this in paint. It's simple and to the point. EA could obviously pretty it up some more, but this is a way to present it that gives you a cool view of the stadium's shape and in a manner that cannot be confused.
