1. Rebuild a team that has historically struggled such as the Browns or Jets.

2. I would love to see full coaching staffs, even if they are fake coaches. Just adds more to the realism. Also a new relocation/expansion system similar to NHL.

My favorite thing to do is to play with a middling team in an extremely realistic way (no crazy trades, realistic drafting, etc) and make moves over the years to put them over the hump.
In the future I want to see better contracts, RFAs, pro days, training camps, coach carousel, etc.
Preference is PS4.

What is your favorite thing to do in franchise mode?

I love to play online franchise with my friends. We take lower tiered teams and build powerhouses over the years with free agency, trades, and draft. We play for 10+ seasons every year even with having families and other obligations. It's my release!

What would you like to see in the future, specifically for franchise mode?

I would love to see more immersion on the side of bringing back features from previous maddens. Madden '05 had the amazing radio show, newspapers, etc. The maddens on the PS2 and XBOX were really in depth in terms of making a more immersive experience and keeping you locked in. I also liked a feature from the old NCAA games where they had a magazine cover each week and I would rush after a game to see if I was on it!

What is your favorite thing to do in franchise mode?
I always take my Cowboys and try to make two things happen: Win a super bowl, and fix their constant cap issues so I can get talent across the board. I then pretty much try to hoard as much money as possible to do cool stadium upgrades or give bigger signing bonuses to save cap space.


What would you like to see in the future, specifically for franchise mode?
BIG things:

-ADD DRAFTED PLAYERS NAMES TO THE COMMENTARY. What happened to a name bank? I can't stand hearing a random fullback referred to as Ozzie Newsome again every time he scores. I can't stand the "big bodied wide receiver." EVERY OTHER GAME HAS A NAME BANK FOR FICTIONAL PLAYERS. FIX IT. They used to have it...so wtf?

-Better contract negotiation/free agent acquisition by CPU (players and teams). They're on the right track with players looking at IF they want to play in a certain city, but $$$ still rules the FA signing. I know money talks, but they're preference should impact how long they are willing to stay, etc. Like how Dez turned down a 3 year contract in Baltimore in hopes for a 1 year "prove myself" contract.

I want to see the CPU make logical choices, not just snag the highest rated despite their needs.

-Better Progression/regression. Over 28-29, speed starts dropping too fast. I had Dez down to 79 speed by the time he was 30, it didn't make sense. Just because he's pushing 30 doesn't mean he will be slower than tight ends.

-as salary cap increases, I want to see realistic pricing increases across the board. Ticket prices remain stagnant while salary cap goes up. I've never played enough seasons for it to have a major impact, but by season 7-10 you start seeing profits decrease. This isn't AS major, as I rarely go more than 5-7 seasons tops.

-I'm sure there's more but those are biggies.
