How much thinner do you want to make it? You can't consistently play more than one zone as it is.

I think that’s the point. I don’t see any actual NFL defenders consistently playing multiple zones in a play.

I think M18 and M19 made great strides in making it more realistic. IMO the ideal state of usering is one where a defender covers a realistic amount of ground (accounting for things like speed of course).

It should not be possible for a MLB in a hook zone in the middle of the field to defend a pass thrown to a WR on a corner route.
