I really think it's more of a suction blocking thing. To counter it I started taking one step back with my user at the snap every single play and it doesn't happen to me anymore.

I think you are saying the same thing we are. The user controlled player will move on their own, unless we provide manual input (you said you take a step back).

Ideal behavior would be: If I don't touch the paddle, my user controlled player shouldn't move.

It's not quite the same, because what I believe (but cannot prove, LDO) is that it's my first step which triggers the suction.

Let's say the offense calls a PA pass and I'm usering my MLB. The suction block doesn't trigger unless *MY* first move is to either fill my run fit or do nothing (because then the AI will fill the run fit for me). Standing still is not an option.

If I take one step back at the snap then I don't get sucked into the blocks and I can wait that extra beat to ensure the play is not PA before filling my run fit.

If this is actually how it works then I'm okay with it because the offense should have some sort of counter to super aggressive run D.

If I could blindly charge the LOS every time I see run action immediately after the snap, but also bail back into coverage afterwards if it's PA then there's no threat of ever catching my user out of position.

However you want to term it, my user controlled player shouldn't move unless I give some sort of input. Period!

Yes!! The cpu controlling my player at the snap has bothered me for years.

Does anyone think its because we dont have a true coach mode? If you wanna call plays but not control players, youre screwed if the guy youre clicked on doesnt do anything when the ball is snapped
