Just a fyi...I looked it up , 2017 there was about one DPI called per game , hardly every other play , or a total flag fest

2015-16 the NFL had a "point of emphasis" on illegal contact and defensive holding. Those years the games were flag fests.

PI did work very well on madden 97 98 for sega almost too well

Yes more def. Holding calls those years (3/4 a game) but by 2017 DH was about once a game too, teams adapted probably rather than more leniency ,but that was probably true as well

They added a few things so DPI is called a bit more.

I remember Madden 10 had random pass interference calls, they seemed to have been scripted, like 2 or 3 a game on avg, I didn't mind it too much, they just wanted it there to mimic the real game.

I have my defensive P.I. slider set at 75 in Madden 18 and it's working fine. Some games there will be 1 to 3 calls, some games none at all. With sliders set at default I rarely see any penalties called.

Yeah the slider works. I don't know why the OP posted that it never works. Unless he meant at the default level. Even then though I still get some calls just not as many as you should.
