They're doing these early releases wrong!

I think that everything that ODogg is saying is on point. A premier version full release on a Friday would definitely increase the pre-orders of that version and an unlimited EA Access time would blow their subscriptions number up. Everyone may not work Monday through Friday, but most people still do, and being able to come home Friday night and potentially play all the way to Monday morning would be very appealing to a lot of people.

It may be on point, but it is pointless. Seriously, they would have just released the HoF on the 10th, and the standard on the 14th to accommodate ODogg and the rest of us would wait an extra week.

Yeah, I guess I've gotten used to ea doing this. I remember buying one of the ncaa football games, and by the time I drove to get the game and came back home, I was too tired from that and work to actually play it. A friday release date is smart and definitely makes more sense.

The counter argument to a Friday release would be that alot of people like to go out on the weekends and they are spending money on outside activities even though that's also when people are gaming the most. I guess by releasing on a Tuesday there's less "entertainment" competing for your money. Idk just a thought, personally have no preference what day of the week releases tend to fall on.

Not pointless when the idea of early release is to get people pumped to spend the money. Doing it on the same day they've always released games is odd.

It's done on the same day because it's not really a early release. What they are doing now is taking the normal release date, selling the more expensive version that day and holding back the cheaper option a few days. Look at 2K and Live. 2K is advertising the anniversary edition as a early release but Live releases the same exact day.

I know, and it makes no sense..it's not rewarding people who buy the more expensive option, it's punishing those who do not
