Changing playbook to fit your scheme in Franchise

The player types for defense doesn't make a ton of sense, they really should have more defense types or allow some customization. Offense has differentiation between the passing scheme and the run scheme so why can't defense be similar?

Have a few different styles of front 7s as well as secondary types. At the very least allow a preference of Man/Zone for cornerbacks within the given schemes

You can select a custom playbook in the screen when you select the team you want to play (advanced settings)

but you can't pick a custom playbook in the schemes screen menu (CFM)

Hi I’m not sure if it’s even possible to do what I’m about to ask but there should be a way????
So can anyone please tell me #1 is it even possible to take my custom Offensive Playbook that I created from last years Madden (AkA Madden 18 ) and someway download / upload/ save to my PS4 and then redownload it or somehow - someway hope people have a idea of what I’m trying ask. Cause it took me hours and days , weeks and I’m deff not trying to redo a whole new playbook. Ok well if anyone can respond that would be awesome. And I just played a couple games and I’m really disappointed So Far in Madden 19 anyway ty again guys ....

The real question is, If you pick a playbook like Power run playbook as your scheme and then pick your custom playbook from the team select team. Does your players still progress from your original scheme? or does it gets overwritten by your custom playbook scheme?

Scheme and playbook have no connection whatsoever. I can set my scheme to power run with the Patriots playbook and see no ill effects at all

Choose a playbook you like, choose a scheme that gets you the most training points. They are not connected in any way on offense. On defense of course a 3-4 versus 4-3 scheme will fit whatever defense you run playbook wise.
