Do you think it may be the same case with 17? Asking alot of you for this and I could try the same thing myself. In that game we could do alot of editing so it may be worth my time to experiment.

Should be the same in 17. Be sure to keep punt power at 50 though. On that game and last year you had to have it 50 with these changes.

I may run through this although it is tough to replicate (need to find the right game conditions to see if you actually did anything). One thing I could never find on 17 playing CPU v CPU was the wind speed (usually about 9-13 MPH could trigger the issue). If I knew that I'd just keep restarting games until I got the right wind conditions and try one punter accurate, one balanced and see what happens.
I will see if this change has any effect though it may take time to uncover it if at all.

Bug fixes aren't back of the box material.

I tweeted the developers last year and they don't comment on it.

They know it's there.

In the meantime, any outdoor stadium I play in, unfortunately, I sim, it's not an ideal workaround, but it's a workaround.

Another imperfect fix they could do is patch all winds in franchise to just be horizontal crosswinds so it shouldn't affect distance.
