Sprint vs. Turbo

So I just watched a video on YouTube showing that an essential mechanic to have players actually sprint vs jog is to double tap turbo. I am at work and can not test it out, but has anyone else figured this out yet and can confirm?

Re: Sprint vs. Turbo

Basically if your sprinting you can’t just swerve all over if you change directions you’ll slow down so you have to get off sprint and back on to speed up or sprint again. It’s a little touchy as you can’t really go off straight line much at all before you’ll slow down but once you get used to it it’s good. Like you said it may seem like you need to double tap, and that will work as long as you then go in straight line. I stay off the sprint until I hit my hole...as long as you’re going in straight line when you get on sprint you’ll be fine...I think what’s messing people up and me included initially was I’d get on sprint before hitting the hole or a tad early and still be turning somewhat and you get like a half a step at speed but then slow down right away because of the turning.
