Salary cap, signing players, bonuses, etc.

I'm at week three and I'm needing to negotiate a few contracts. However, I don't see anything about how much money I have to spend or anything like that. I'd like to know where it's going to put me with the cap for next year. Is there something I'm missing?

You can go to salaries and do the math for the next year's cap if that's what you mean

Doing math while I’m playing Madden might possibly be the last thing I want to do. How is there not an option to see how much cap space will be available?

Sim a year in your franchise and see what it is for 2019.. should take you all of 3 minutes..

I believe it is a pre-set number that won't change..

There's usually a projected cap for the following year under player contracts screen. There was in M18. I haven't checked in 19 yet though. It's usually in the same spot that you'll see your cap penalties for the next year.

part of doing owner mode is doing math...

Anywho, I know it goes up 3-5m a year or so in cap space. My best suggestion is sign as if you're keeping to the current cap. Player salaries typically go up each year, so you'll want that buffer.

This. Pull up the screen to negotiate a contract with any player and you'll see your cap by the breakdown of the contract numbers on the left side of the screen.
