Anyone playing CFM as a player?

This is probably passe by now, but since this mode is the sole remaining career as player mode, just wondering if anyone is also playing?

Question: I saw a contract negotiation request banner pop up, but after clicking the 'wait a week', I haven't seen it again. I assume this is the organization attempting to negotiate a contract extension, but now that option is gone. Further, there was no way to preview the contract negotiation details first. It was either 'accept', 'decline', or 'wait'. Odd.

I played this mode as a free safety in Madden 17 and 18 and had a lot of fun with it. Waiting to see if they fix the current defensive player lock cam to try it in 19. As far as your question yeah they’ve never showed the contract details in the negotiation period. As far as the offer going away I think if you pick wait a week they do actually increase the offer if they have the cap space so maybe tour team doesn’t have cap space? Idk though it could also be a bug

The one thing that kills it for me is the ability to pick the play. If I want to be a QB or HB or MLB I would want the coach to choose the play and then I execute to the best of my ability.

Being able to pick the play kills the immersion for me. May seem like nitpicking I suppose, but that's my opinion.

Put the play selection screen on Quick and use Coach Suggestions. Always pick that play, allow audibles depending on position.

I agree.

Thats how it was before last gen, not sure about this gen. I don't like the ability to pick plays mainly because its not realistic to have the ability to make sure every play is a play that benefits me. Whats to stop me from being a RB and calling a running play every play. Or being a 3-4 OLB and blitzing every play. I usually just use Strategy plays to try to keep it balanced.

Only problem with calling plays last gen was that it wasn't always the best call for the situation. Or they run plays that CPU always stop/exploit. The whole CPU AI needs work before I trust AI to call my plays though
