If the XFL gets off the ground I would love for 2k to get a shot at it. They develop the WWE games and think it would make sense. XFL would probably have to chip in to pay for something like that. Too much risk for a Dev team to take it all on.

That would be a great way for 2k to get back into a football engine. I wouldn't doubt for a second that the XFL would invest in the game too, McMahon would see it as marketing. I'd buy it for the hell of it. Then try to push them to use their football engine for a generic college game again lol.

I would LOVE the CFL in Madden. I've seen/heard of a few CFL games before, and they never come out good. Perhaps the market isn't there, idk.

Remember EA in its past has had to own EVERYTHING football so that 2K didn't get it. They took the Arena Football League, NCAA, and of course the NFL License. So it wouldn't surprise me.

The NFL wouldn't allow it. The XFL is directly competing with the NFL. Seperate games (one for the XFL, and one for the NFL) would be allowed, since EA did Arena Football for a brief time. But not both in the same game.
