This.

Since players don’t demand more as time goes buy and inflation doesn’t exist in Madden, maybe they don’t have the cap rise past that year on purpose?

Might actually be a good thing.

But they don’t... if you sim ahead a decade the desired contracts generally are the same at various positions.

So if the cap didn’t stop rising it would equal essentially having no salary cap almost after a decade. That could be a reason why they intentionally stopped the cap from rising.

Just a thought.

The players don't ask for more, generally unless they are already getting more than that.

Proof: I just signed Ezekiel Elliott to a 5 year, $59 million contract. 11.8 per year if broken down evenly. I actually offered MORE than the game considered fair, but only by 1 million or so.

One of the best in the NFL took a contract that is less than Bell's franchise tag, and only roughly 1m more than Jerick McKinnon got. So 1.5m more than a guy who has never been a 1000 yard rusher, never a true #1. So in the game, players do not demand to be highest paid or keep pushing the envelope.
