Yeah I hear ya. They could come out with a game that has generic schools (kind of like how PES handles non licensed soccer teams in their game) without the NCAA license though. Might not be worth the hassle for them though.

And what is funny, is I've never seen a college turn down $$$.

I am sure if the price was right, the licensing could be had again.

If not editors/creators can be used to make anything look exactly right.

The shyness comes from the worry of being sued not for putting out a game with names and likenesses without paying, it's the worry that they can get sued because the game can by modified in a way that infringes on likeness or copyright.

EA and other developers dont see a high enough reward to take the risk.

And so we are another year removed from college sports games, which were always more fun than pro. Not counting that college baseball game, yuck.

LOL if you think a game shipping with generic players and/or teams is anything other than a non-starter. Zero chance that would interest any developer with the resources to publish a AAA title.
