17,18 or 19

Graphics not withstanding, Which of the 3 has the best actual gameplay offline in CFM mode in your opinion. I'm not looking for bells and whistles or sweet graphics just the least buggy most realistic on field using the sticks gameplay of the 3? If i could i would go back a console generation or 2 and play one the 2k games but that isnt possible so these are my options. Thanks people for your opinions

I’d personally say 18. 19 to me feels like a prototype especially given the new engine. 17 had some bugs but 18 was probably the most polished of the recent years maddens. 19 will be frustrating for you if your big on running the ball as most players will agree it seems as if your ballcarrier is always stuck in the mud but the ai defenders are all missiles

Played all of them for the entire length of their cycle - excluding 19 as it’s still in its cycle. Madden 19 is a more refined version of 18 which is a more refined version of 17. They all have their warts, but the new defensive coverages, offensive line ratings, and new running and tackling animations make the experience better to me.

And you said you didn’t care about graphics but the player models are better in this year and it’s overall a gorgeous game.

If you are a Franchise guy 19 is the way to go with Custom Draft Classes. Plus i love RPM in 19.

18 just a great game for offline , imho if you are looking to be reminded of 2k that would be the one

I had 17 but not 18. That being said, I'm enjoying 19 a lot more than I did 17 for a variety of reasons. The gameplay is tougher (in 17 it was just too easy), and I'm enjoying RPM. It has a few issues, but overall the movement is pretty good.

I had the most fun franchise on 17, didn't like 18, but 19 is probably the better game.

i would recommend getting 18 on the cheap and maybe wait for that first half price sale or more on 19 down the road



there were things from madden 15, 16, and 17 that were enough that i went lite on madden those years and 18 definitely felt like the first game i really like in a few years. 18 also fixed a couple of really bad, to me, glitches/errors and such from 17, so that one is very easy for more to recommend over it.


19 has some quirks that need to be worked on/ patched up before i can cleanly call it better than 18, unfortunately.,although for EA and the Madden series i can say i like the improvements for this year and am interested to see if they can keep going this way or if they are just going revert to the norm.
