heard 19 has a cpu running game issue.

i'm thinking about picking this up for pc, but read awhile back that the ai doesn't utilize their running game well in 19. is this an issue, or still an issue? any simple fixes for it?

anything else "game-breaking" from a casual's standpoint that would make me feel sorry that i picked it up? thanks.

I don't play on PC, but the issue was addressed a few title updates ago.

Smart to wait until now to purchase as there were many issues that plagued this game at launch.

After patches and playcall updates, CPU running game is vastly improved, although they did do this at the expense of utilizing Real Player Motion. However, as a user, you will still feel it's effect and it's a blast to run the ball. You will really "feel" the difference. The game is still flawed in areas, but it's quite frankly now the best edition of the series in my eyes.

The CPU running game is still hot garbage. It's way too easy to shut down with simple blitzing. It's not irregular to see them average sub 2 ypc, and I'm talking about elite run teams vs crappy defenses.

I've seen no issues with the CPU running game. I have had some games where I've shut them down and others where I've been destroyed. It is a good mix IMO. A lot depends on what team you're playing. I believe attributes play a huge role in the CPU running game

I play offline sim, and my experience has been 100% different. My friend and I have a league where we are the Cardinals and Ravens, and I think we average like 40-50 yards given up per game against the cpu at most. That's pulled up by like 1-2 games where the CPU just broke a big run to the outside for like an 80 yard td. For the most part, we hold backs like Kamara, Zeke, and etc to something like 12 carries for 20-25 yards on standard All-Madden. All you have to do is send a 6-man man blitz. User the player covering the RB and cover if he goes out. It eats up run plays and gets really good pass rush.

This has been pretty much my experience as well with the cpu running game.

On the user side though, I've had a weird experience. Started a new franchise last week and through around 8 games my HB tandem was averaging around 5.8 and 6.5 ypc. It was too easy, I was destroying the cpu on the ground. Then it was like a switch got flipped and they were barely able to avg around 3 ypc the rest of the season. Maybe there was a tuning update or they AI figured it was too easy and automatically adjusted something?

Same experience that I'm receiving.

From August till early December, I led the league in rush defense and the CPU run game was a hot mess. Since early December, I'm the middle of the Pack, no pun intended.

From what I've experienced on the field to EA mentioning in title update notes that they tuned this and that in the run game, it's evident from my experience that EA did tune the CPU run game.

YMMV depending on skill set, sliders and game mode.
