Do safeties not matter in Madden anymore?

This matching concepts in cvr4 is dumbing out safeties. I give up unnecessary TD's because of stuff like this. EA please fix pass coverage.

That play looked like 3-4 Odd Cover 4 Quarters. The safety was not responsible for the receiver who scored. If you want them to help on routes like that when they aren't threatened deep use palms instead.

EDIT - On a second watch that TE out route is deep enough to be considered vertical, so the S would match him by rule whether you played palms or quarters. The offense just had a good play dialed up against you.

I've got 3-4 Safeties on the field at all times. They're amazing this year. I've got two who I drafted that are insane. One has over 120 career INTs and the other has 84 on all-pro 5 min q's. I can't imagine playing with bad, unathletic safeties in this game.

5 minute quarters? Two safeties between them have 200 INTs on the same team?

Well i actually play 4 min quarters but for the first 2 seasons i played 5 min on all-madden.

And one also has 118 sacks? Does the other teams ever even score? To have stats like that, you would think you play 20 minutes quarters

I can't even imagine how many hours i would have to play to get to 2032 with 20 minute quarters lol
