Want to Experience Madden/NCAA Like Never Before?

Hello everyone,

I have been working on something for a little while now and I would like to share it with everyone…

I have seen plenty of people complain about the “realness” of players throughout NCAA and Madden. They say there is no difference between any of them. I too have had a problem with this. I believe it is not the sliders that can make this a better game, but it is a new rating system.

I have met many people on here who have had ideas and I feel I have morphed and come up with my own to make these games play so much better. If you have the time, just read through here and see. I also have a roster on Madden 18 (complete) and Madden 19 with about 5 or so teams. GT- Keifer Danks. I no longer have an Xbox One, but you can see for yourself on what I have done.

No longer will you see little DBs take down big TEs or RBs. Linemen actually block and run downfield. Receivers block! Ballhawks play like Ballhawks. There is so much that you will see for the first time.

As for the ratings, I have simplified them to an extent… Awareness, TRK, AGI, PWR & Finesse Moves, RBK & PBK does not change. Everything else comes from these.

Also, forget what you already know about overalls, they mean nothing unless you only compare them to players of the same position. Don’t compare apples to oranges lol.

Quarterbacks:
Strength (STR) and Agility (AGI) should match Trucking (TRK) and Elusiveness (ELU) (Creates separation of Pocket Passer and Scramblers).
Break tackle (BTK) (if applies) should be the average of the two.
Ball carrier vision (BCV) should be what Awareness (AWR) is. (This helps with pocket movement)

Running Backs/Fullbacks/Receivers/Tightends-
STR, RBK/RBK&PBK STR, AGI, PBK/RBK&PBK FTW = TRK and ELU.
BVC, Route Running (RTE), Impact Block (IPB) = AWR.
Release (RLS) = STR.

O-Line-
IPB- AWR
STR, AGI- RBK/RBK&PBK STR, PBK/RBK&PBK FTW

D-Line, Linebackers-
Power Moves- STR, HPW, Press
Finesse Moves- AGI, MCV
BKS- Average of Power and Finesse
AWR- PRC, Pursuit, ZCV

Defensive Backs-
AWR- BCV, PRC, Pursuit, ZCV
STR, AGI should be what TRK and AGI (Creates separation between coverage and hard hitters)
MCV- AGI
Press- STR

Kickers/Punters- STR, AGI – TRK, ELU

These adjustments have made both of these games so much more enjoyable to myself and I just wanted to share with everyone. I have implemented these with Madden 12,25,18,19 and NCAA 12,14 with great success. Hope you enjoy as much as I have!

Interesting concept and I agree that the key to unlocking this game is player ratings. I’m having trouble following your adjustments. For example, for the O line does IPB-AWR mean that impact blocking should be less than AWR? There are other ratings that I’m not entirely sure what you are suggesting.

What will push folks away, especially console players, is the onerous task required to make all of these adjustments.

The older versions are easier to do bc of the editor.

As for the ratings, Impact Block should be the same as Awareness. O-line STR and AGI should be what Run Block and Pass Block. And so on for the other positions.

My ratings are based off the ones I mentioned don’t changed, so you would match the ratings that do change, to the ones that coincide. It can sound confusing, but after the first team, it goes rather smoothly. I apologize if it doesn’t come across clear.

Best I can offer is record on my phone next time I play. I’ll try to figure out how to upload. Not very tech savvy. Just bought my first Mac since getting back into school and trying to teach myself how to use it lol.

Use the share butron. Stream to your youtube channel. It takes 5 minutes to set up and is a great feature.
