Less dicerolls, more ratings determined outcomes.
I have other nuances of the game, but that would be my one to focus on.
When did "dice rolls" become a thing in Madden? Was it always a thing and it is just more prevalent thing than it was in previous years or is this a next-gen thing?
I've never heard of dice-rolls before, until maybe a few years ago in Madden,

Fix the online pass rush it ridiculous too easy to rollout every play the DEs and OLBs get suctioned way to much like a few yds way inside they have far to long to throw. Also stop allowing folks to drop back 15 and 20 yds behind the line and complete passes way down the field playmakering and the like.

This is a great point and a very complex subject, which really is deserving of it's own thread. I have a unique perspective on dice rolls, since I went from Madden 12 to Madden 17, thus smacking me straight in the face with this issue.
In Madden 12, we had a full set of fairly well-working sliders. However, they worked independently of game difficulty levels pertaining to Rookie, Pro, All Pro and All Madden levels if I only adjusted the user sliders.
By doing that, the game difficulty level I was playing on was called "Custom". Once I defeated my user sliders down to a set number, which I've long since forgotten, the experience represented All Madden, yet played beautifully organic. The kick meter was crazy fast, but I quickly adapted to it.
I do like the "occasional" occurrence of a dice roll here and there. It brings "emotion and feel" to the game, even though it's extremely frustrating when I see my corner completely blow an assignment or a receiver suddenly not be able to catch even a cold.
Balancing dice rolls out, without relying on it to the point where it makes the game feel "overly scripted" would be a step in the right direction in my opinion. Back in the old, old, old days, we could earn what was called Madden Cards I think. For a short time, you could gain extra boosts with certain players. No question, they are still alive and well.

Every player on the field, whether User or CPU controlled, being governed by the same realistic movement rules.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I'm assuming here the term "dice-roll" is being used as a easy to understand reference to the way the game calculates the outcomes of each " event" , ie whether a pass is caught or dropped etc etc .
Factors such as ratings, skill levels and sliders act as modifiers to these "dice-roll" calculations and as such alter the probability of each potential outcome
I'd assume the original poster was more calling for the ratings to carry a greater weight in the "dice-rolls" , as opposed to there being less calculations per se
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon .... No matter how good you are , the bird is going to **** on the board and strut around like it won anyway .
