They aren't just looking at the 40 time and the shuttle times for speed. They are also including 10-yard splits and other splits to get acceleration and top speed figured out.

Really interested to see how they doled out dev traits. With Superstar and X-Factor tied to dev trait, it seems safe to assume that none of the rookies are going to be higher than quick, which is a shame given that doesn’t align with generated classes

Why would that be? I can totally see a lower rated player have a higher potential...I definitely saw that in a draft class during the beta.

MoonlightSwami (one of the ratings guys and also a franchise game designer at Tiburon) has already teased at Hollywood Brown having a high dev trait for Ravens franchise players. I have to assume also that some of these rookies will have at least Superstar level dev trait.

I don't think any of the rookies coming in will be xfactor but I am sure there will be several that are superstar. Add in the scenario engine possibly changing dev traits and I think everything is in a good place.

This is exactly what's been on my mind.

Re: Madden NFL 20 Rookie Ratings Revealed

A few of the Rookies will be X-Factor players for sure, their X-Factor abilities won't be determined until they reach the ratings threshold(s) for unlocking them.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
