Can X-Factor Ability to be acquired?

No.

As generated rookies enter the league each year, you may have a few of these guys that are Superstar X-Factors. Anyone who is already an X-Factor will retain it as long as they meet the requirements to keep it.


Speaking of "requirements" - Someone was saying that if the player's OVR isn't high enough, their X-Factor/Superstar abilities will "gray out", suggesting they aren't usable.

It has been confirmed that players can lose and gain superstar and x-factor abilities by Clint in a couple of interviews. Also, in the beta, I simmed seasons and you could see where abilities changed over the years.
